Main Aims

To practice the listening skills using new vocabularies and compound nouns. The teacher teaches them to use new vocabularies and compound nouns commonly collocate with 'Game Shows'.
Subsidiary Aims

To introduce students to new vocabulary and to give ss freer speaking practice in order to encourage their spoken fluency with using them.
Procedure (43-54 minutes)
The teacher shows the ss the photo of a rocket and the space ask different questions about it. The teacher encourage the students to speak about game shows on the tv and asks some questions related to these shows.
The teacher asks different questions about game show.They will discuss the questions. The teacher focus on some new vocabularies and give their meanings.Ss studies in groups and uses these words in differrent sentences. The teacher tell them they are going to listen to a radio programme.The teacher let them to listen the radio programme and the ss try to concentrate to hear these new words.
The teacher gives them HOs ( there are 8 questions) and gives ss time to read the questions.The teacher writes them on the board.Ss listen to the radio programme again and try to find the answers.They answer them and discus correct answers in their groups. And then they say the answers. Ss also write the correct answers on the board
The teacher gives the ss HOs .They look at tapescript and try to find which phrase is correct. The teacher gives some information about compound nouns .The teacher gives them HOs again, they match the words from column A with the words from column B to complete the sentences.They get compound nouns.The teacher writes the sentences on the board and the students fill in the blanks using correct answers.
The teacher divides the classrooms four groups . They play a kind of game in the classroom. There are five questions.In these questions, they should use new words.Ss try to give correct answers. There is also a prize end of the game. The winner will get chocalates.
