Procedure (45-59 minutes)
The T will have the Ss to talk about their daily activities. T will emphasis on the adverbs which refer to the routines. T will have the Ss to discuss about their activities in a group mingling.
The Ss will listen and then take a look at the conversation prepared on page 46 for 2 times. first they are supposed to just listen and read with eyes. Then the T will have them to circle around the verbs that they see in the text. then They are supposed to put the words written above the text in gaps within the text. they will check the answers in pairs.
T will give two types of sentences to the Ss in Present S and Present C and will check if they differ from each other in the Ss points of view. All activities in Present C will be demonstrated with Mimes.
T will draw a timeline on the WB to show the difference between Present Simple and Continuous. T will take examples from the text they read before and will draw a timeline for each to keep them focused on the sentences and the new tense. T will give the structure of the new tense on the WB. S+Aux verb+(Verb+ing)
The Ss will be given controlled practices on page 107 of AEF starter. They are supposed to identify the verb in given sentences and they'll have to turn them into continuous form. they will check the answers in pairs with correct form on the WB.
The Ss will be given semi-controlled practices on page 107 of AEF starter. They are supposed to put the correct form of the verbs given in sentences and they'll have to turn them into continuous form. they will check the answers in pairs with correct form on the WB.
The Ss will be given a couple of verbs on the handouts. T will put them into pairs and they are supposed to play a miming game to help their partners understand what they are doing now. Their partners should tell the sentence back aloud.
