Description

In this lesson the students are going to have a berif revision of last unit and then in their new lesson they will go through the numbers and pronunciatin of the curencies from different countries, moreover; they can ask about the price of objects in singulral form and plural by using the questin sentenc 'How much is it? and How much are they?'

Abc Handout, reall money and pictures

Main Aims

  • The main aim of this lesson is to develope the students listening skills in order to comprehend the required information such as numbers and price in the context of money.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide clarification and practice, the teacher is supposed to show the signs of currencies. How to use the new words in sentences.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (10-12 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher will provide students with a brief revision of the previous unit. Provides students with the the new words related to the food and drinks. How to sk about the price of them.

Pre-Reading/Listening (5-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

As a pre listening activity the students will have a revision of numbers

While-Reading/Listening #1 (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The teacher gives the instruction, plays the track. Students listen to the audio with books closed to get the general idea.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (5-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Teacher asks the students to open the books, listen one more time and fill in the gaps. Now the students read the sentences aloud to check the answers one by one

Post-Reading/Listening (5-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Teacher asks students what they have learned in this section and they summerize the important points.
