Procedure (45 minutes)
To engage Ss ,ask them to look at the picture on p A4 and answer three questions in pairs for (1 min) 1.what are they doing? 2.where are they? 3.How do they feel? w/c FB : ask one pairs for the answer then they choose another pairs to answer.
Ss answer ex. 2 in hand out in pairs. Put 1. on the board and ask 2 volunteers to write the answers on it. 2. Check with CCQ: Did they like the film?why? Were they happy?why not? How was the film? Now ask ss to match the letters with numbers in Ex.3 in pairs. Answer key: a.5 b.3 c.1 d.4 e.2 w/c FB :write the answers on the board and change the answer for a.4 and d. 5 ,let students find out you make a mistake then correct it.
Ask ss to fill the chart in groups of three. w/c FB : Ask students to come to the board and write the answers.
Ss do ex.5 , circle around the correct form alone. Check answer with the partner. w/c FB :Write the answer on the board. Ss do ex. 6 alone. check with the partner. w/c FB : Ss come to the board and write the answers. Write an example on the board: e.g: I got very ( frustrated ) that I couldn't Scuba-dive.replace frustrated with :1.disappointed 2.embarrassed 3.tired 4.depressed 5.frightened techniques used: Drilling and back-chaining. Clarify the pronunciation,mention -ed sometimes is pronounced / id / like words: disappointed,frustrated,excited. show the phonetics on the board.
1.Ss do the ex.b p. A4 on their own and predict the answers. 2.check answers with their partner. 3.play the listening,ss check their answers with the listening. 4.check again with the partner. 5.w/c FB.give the answers to ss. 6.Ask if they have questions. 7.To check the stress and pronunciations play the audio and again pausing after each question and getting ss to repeat just after the adjectives. 8.Ask ss to underline the stress syllable in the adj. 9.check with the partner. 10.project the answers.
Tell ss that imagine ' today is your last day of English class,ask each other "how do you feel"? ' Ss should find a person who has the same feeling that he/she has. w/c FB :Ss tell the class about the person they find similar to them.
