The two captains should guess the person on the picture and their teammates will give hints without telling the carachter's name.
Put photo of the couple from the reading on the whiteboard. Use this to introduce the reading (Try to get them interested in the couple). Elicit some ideas - where they are from, etc.
On the board write: New York City, Montreal, France Have them read page 16, ex 1 to decide where the couple is now. Rember to set the task before Ss read. Peer-check answers and take whole-class feedback (w/c FB).
Write on the board (or create a HO): What is her job? What is his job? Where is she from? Where is he from? Where do they live? Ss read ex. 1 and answer the questions. Peer-check answers and provide feedback.
Provide learners p. 16, part 4. Ss complete the gap-fill and check in pairs. Use listening 2.11 to check answers and check the meaning of the adjectives (i.e. is it good or bad) Drill pronunciation of awful/fantastic/beautiful
Have learners practice the conversations. Provide feedback and error correction as whole class.
Using only the pictures and names from workbook p. 13 ex. 11, have Ss create their own dialogue about the places they are visiting. Monitor and do task feedback and error correction.
