Procedure (42-56 minutes)
As a lead-in, I will tell a short story about myself and yesterday's activities and I will elicit the sentences or past form of verbs from the Ss or I will give the examples completely by myself.
I this stage there will be a short clip being played and the Ss should complete some sentences based on the happenings in there. The verbs are into small bags that are given to them and they have to find the answers quick under a time limitation. They will change seats after 5 sentences. The answer will be given on the WB afterwards.
I will give them a sentence on the WB about what has not happened in the movie and ask them if its true or not. Then I will change the sentence into the negative form to make it true.
I will give them some scrambled words that together they form a sentence and we will do the exercise together. I will give the past form of the verbs in RED color and green for the base form. The other words for sentences are green as well. AS AN INSTRUCTION FOR NEXT STAGE They will be told that we don't need RED ones in a green sentence So they have to pick green ones that are base forms in a negative form after 'Did not' or 'didn't'.
The Ss will be asked to create a sentence with the words given in colors. The correct answers must be in green color.
the Ss will be asked to do exercise 2a on page 71 of Cutting Edge, Third Edition. The answers will be on the board to help them correct themselves. If I run short of time I am going to ignore this part.
the Ss will be asked to tell 2-3 sentences to their partners in pairs or a group. T will monitor their activity then DEC will finish the session.
