Procedure (32-44 minutes)
The teacher will show some pictures about some kinds of restaurants, will elicit and will drill their names, and will show where to stress these names.
The students will be given a worksheet on which there are nine phrases. The students will sort the phrases, in groups, into the boxes. The teacher will drill the phrases and will show where to stress the phrases.
A blank page and a handout will be given to each student. Students will, individually, think about and take some notes about their favourite place to eat.
The students will prepare to talk about their favourite place to eat. They need to use the phrases on page 57. When necessary, the teacher will help the students for any words/phrases they need.
The students will, in pairs, talk to each other about the favourite place to eat. They will use the phrases in the worksheet when talking. They need to take notes as they listen to help them in the next task.
The students will change pairs and will report on what the person from their original pair said.
