Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Say "hello" in 3 languages Ask Ss to answer the questions in pairs: 1. How many languages they can speak? 2. How did they learn them? 3. Are you interested in learning a newer language? Which language and Why?
Play the video clip Elicit the following vocabularies through the clip (following MPF): 1. multilingual 2. fluent 3. barrier Refer Ss to the picture of the text and ask if they know the languages Play the audio and encourage them to write the names of the countries next to numbers
Part A) Ask students to read the text quickly and choose the best topic for the text ICQs: 1. Are you going to do it in pairs? No 2. Are you going to write the answers? No 3.
