Procedure (30-44 minutes)
1. Ss look at the pictures of animals. 2. They discuss what they see. 3. Elicit “What kind of animals are they?” (Wild-dangerous) 4. Focus on the questions below a. Are they dangerous animals? (yes) b. What can these animals do? c. What can a shark do? d. Why are they dangerous? 5. In groups ss talk about it. (1 min) 6. Feedback. Ask student why they think the animals are dangerous?
1.Give ss HO. 2.Ss look at the HO and guess the answers (in pairs 1 min). 3.Say the words and write on the board (Float, suck, tie, wave, keep still, shout). 4.In pairs ss discuss and fill in the blanks (2 min). 5.Write the answers on the board. Ss check from the board. i. Float: ii. Does it sink? (No) iii. Does it stay on top of liquid/water? (Yes) iv. Suck: v. Do you use your mouth? (Yes) vi. Do you use your teeth? (No) vii. Do you pull in air or liquid? (Yes) viii. Tie: ix. Do you use 2 pieces of string? (Yes) x. Do you fasten them together? (Yes) xi. Do they stay together? (Yes)
1.Give out English File HO. 2.There are 6 questions. In pairs ss try to complete the questions with 6 animals. 3.Ss don’t read (CCQ instructions). 4.Write key on board: a.Dog. b.Bee. c.Snake. d.Bull. e.Jellyfish. f.Shark. 5.Ss check from board.
1.Ss read the questions and the answers quickly (they don’t answer them). 2.In groups ss talk about the possible answers (1 min)
1.Ss read again and answer the questions.
1. Ss divide in 3 groups: in the city/in the country/ in the water 2. Give each group the explanation of the answers for 2 questions 3. The groups find the correct answers (2min) 4. Ss check their answers from the board Answer key: 1-b 2-a 3-c 4-b 5-c 6-a
In pairs ss discuss "have you ever been in one of these situations? what did you do?"
