Description
In this lesson students acquired vocabulary to be able to speak about different professions such as a doctor a teacher a taxi driver a nurse.
Main Aims

To provide gist, specific information, deduction and inference listening practice using a text about occupation in the context of occupation of doctor, teacher, taxi driver
Subsidiary Aims
-
To provide fluency speaking practice in a dialogue , discussion in the context of answering questions about occupations
Procedure (34-60 minutes)
Warmer/Lead in-presenting of photos (3-5 minutes) • to attract to student's attention on occupations
photos of a doctor, a teacher , a taxi driver are shown on the board
Questions related to listened information (8-10 minutes) • equip the students with necessary vocabulary to be able to speak about occupations
after the listening stage ask the students respective questions
to practise new vocabulary about occupation (9-20 minutes) • To explain new vocabulary items about occupations
introduce students audio material about occupation
asking question about the listening material about photo presentation (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the new vocabulary about occupations
hold discussion about occupations
roleplay by the students (6-15 minutes) • consolidation of learned material
the teacher guides the students to do roleplay related with occupation
