Procedure (28-42 minutes)
-ask the students do have a strong memory or a bad one? -tell the students about me you know what I have a very bad memory especially with movies I can watch a movie with you and after that, if you asked me about it I can swear that I didn't watch before I am doing this with my young sister all the time. -ask them about what was the most important thing they forgot? it was very important. - tell me the situation..take 2 minutes to think. -check into pairs. -check as a class. -watch a video about the memory test(play the video and stop to let them answer the questions) -check as a class
-tell the student after the memory test now they are going to read about 4 ways to improve your memory. -try to find out the meaning of the highlighting words in the text -monitor closely.
-Ask the student did you understand the meaning from the text? -elicit and clarify the meaning of these words (bore, effortlessly, struggle, chunking, memorable) using CCQS. -Drill the words and highlighting the main stress. -Ask the students the part of speech those words.
-Give the students HO2. -Ask them to see which of these things can help you to improve your memory and which of them don't. -Ask them to check into pairs. -Check as a class. -Give the students HO3 and ask them to see which thing is true and which one is false. -Check into pairs. -Check as a class
-Ask the students about their funny memories (of course you have a lot of funny memories you would like to tell your friends about) -Tell them about my sister's husband (he came with his daughter and stayed with my father for 2 hours talking together and I was playing with his daughter in my room after they finished he left and forgot his daughter I went out my room and we called him to come back and take her) -Put them into one group to tell each other about their funny memories. -I prepared some questions if we have time I will ask everyone to pick three and ask his partner to answer.
