Subsidiary Aims

To provide the students with some listening exercises to expose them to the target language.
Procedure (35-45 minutes)
The T asks the students the following questions : Do you live in a house or a flat? How many rooms are here in your ...? Name some rooms in your ....?
The T shows the ss a picture of a house on the OHP and asks them (Would you like to live in this house? Why (not)?. The ss start to give their answer with the T leads them to answer with (because there is or there are).
The T chests a picture of a house and eliciting the name of the places the house after that they will be given exercises about rooms and furniture to read and match. The ss work in pairs while the T goes around monitoring and taking notes. The ss compare their answers with the neighboring pair before the T gives them the key answers.
The T chests a grammar exercise and ask the ss to do it pairs
The T asks the ss to write 6 sentences about what is in their houses or their own rooms. The T moves around monitoring and gives help when it is needed.
