Review and practise language in regards to everyday situations specifically social behaviour whilst clarifying.
Subsidiary Aims

Ensure all students are able to speak clearly and pronouncve words, which they may not be familiar with.
Procedure (45-59 minutes)
To give examples of social behaviour that are clearly right and wrong and that all students will agree with. Check that everyone understands good and bad manners whilst going through examples and work in pairs. They will be required to work in pairs and the T will illicit their answers.
Lexis language including verbs, expressions and pronunciation. Impersonal construction, adjectives + infinitive to talk about general situations and infinitive + for to talk about people. Ss are required to understand what verbs are and new expressions they may not have come across before. Also share their ideas of expressions they already know with everyone else. T will illicit pronunciations with the help of various methods and the rest of the group will familiarise themselves with them. Question 2a here will be first and should be no longer than 7 minutes max.
Lexis Language. Verbs, expressions and pronunciations. Adjectives, adjectives + infinitive to talk about general situations and adjective + for to talk about people.Also highlight impersonal construction for someone to do something.
Clarification of good and bad manners. Drill expressions clarification of shake, hug and refuse. impersonal construction it is...for someone to do something, adjective +infinitive regarding general situations and adjective + for regarding to talk about people. Also adjectives for words like common, OK and sensible.
Controlled practise for question 4a where Ss listen five excerpts from a conversation.
Semi-controlled practise for beginning to elicit good and bad manners. Question 5 is where I may also semi control to ensure some structure.
Free practise in regards to questions 2a from page 80 and from page 81 questions 1 to 8. I will seek to let the Ss be free in these situations and let them decide what is right and what is wrong as they need to formulate for themselves and take responsibility to think freely. The T will observe and input if really really needed otherwise they will be free to extract their own beliefs from the questions.
