Procedure (44-53 minutes)
I will tell the students that since I've started the CELTA I don't have time to do my favorite things. For example, when I go home I have to write an assignment or sleep, so I don't have time to watch my favorite Tv Show.
What about you, what is the thing that you don't have time for anymore? why you don't have time for it? Discuss with your friend/ share it with the class.
the students will have to read the text for one minute and they will have to match the titles with the paragraphs.
I will divide the class into 3 groups They will have to read the text again and decide what the highlighted vocabulary mean. (4 min) I will divide the class into 3 groups will then give each group 6 pieces of papers with the vocabulary on them and 8 pieces of papers with their meanings, however, two of the meanings are extra and they need to be careful when the match the meaning with the vocabulary. (4 min) for the feedback, they will have to stick the vocabulary with their meanings on the whiteboard (2 min)
The students read the text carefully and find the invented piece of information in the text.
In pairs, they will have to look at the headings of the paragraphs, and they will try to remember the information in the text.
The students will have a set of questions and the need to answer the questions with, often, sometimes, and never. 1 point for never 2 points for sometimes 3 points for often they will count the score and tell the class whether they're living in the slow land, the medium pace of life or living life in the fast lane. While monitoring I will write any mistake I can hear and correct it with the whole class.
