SS will practice reading for specific information about the perfect Bond girls and state their opinions.

Abc New English File SB pp 40&41, pictures, handouts.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The teacher greets SS and checks their names. The teacher asks SS some questions about their favorite movies and their favorite actor. The teacher shows some pictures for Mahmoud Abdelaziz" Rafat Alhagan", a picture for Adel Emam" Gomaa Alshawaal" and a picture for James Bond and asks SS about what is common between these characters to describe the word "spy".

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

The teacher shows some pictures and elicits from students to explain new vocabulary. Teacher sticks the new words on the board and drills with SS.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The teacher sets the task and asks SS to answer some skimming questions on the passage. The teacher asks SS to work individually and then check their answer in pairs.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The teacher sets the task and asks SS to read the passage again and tick the correct boxes. SS work individually first and after that check in pairs then class feedback.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The teacher explains the new adjectives of the speaking task through pictures and shows the stress on questions. The teacher drills the questions chorally, in groups, and individually with students. SS work individually to answer the questions and then check with a partner. SS are asked to move around the class to fill in a survey with 3 different partners. The teacher will get some answers from SS to check their understanding. SS are asked to write at least 3 full sentences about one of their partners.
