Procedure (40-50 minutes)
Ask students who is their favorite singer ? why do you like him or her? what are your memories with his/her songs ?
Ask students if they could give instructions. Tell them that you are going to check that Tell the students that they are going to do a matching activity Hand out the first activity. Tell them they have twelve pictures with twelve phrases to match Ask they some icqs to check they understand the activity Tell them they have five minutes to complete the activity then ask them to check in pairs Then give them the feedback paper
Ask students if they had heard of The Bangles Tell them it is a girl group and their song Eternal flame was number 1 in the UK and USA in 1989 Stick a picture of flame on the board and ask them what do you think the song is called then stick the picture of heart to help them . tell them they are going to listen to the famous song Eternal flame with some missing gaps with two choices each and they would choose the right choice Ask they some icqs to check their understanding Are you going to match? Are you going to complete? After listening give them time to finish
Tell the students that they are going to listen again to check .Tell them they are going to write the words in the song. Ask students some questions to check their understanding Are you going to match? Are you going to choose? Tell them they have eight minutes to complete Monitor students and write down any mistake to clarify at the end Ask students to check in pairs Give the the feedback and ask them to check their answers
Give the students a sheet of paper.Ask students to say some sentences about their opinion of the text and all love songs Give them four minutes to prepare themselves tell them to discuss in pairs what they have written. Ask them what is the most important or strange thing that your partner had said Don't interfere write down your notes to review later
