Description
In this lesson, the students learn about the vocabulary related to survival lexical set. The lesson opens with demonstration of a video followed by guessing the topic of the lesson. Then Ss think of three words related to pictures. Then they move on to listening for details and gist and complete exercises. The lesson ends with Ss sharing personal experience.

Procedure (37-45 minutes)
Lead-in (5 minutes) • to set lesson context and engage Ss
Ss watch a video and guess the topic of the lesson in pairs
Exposure (5-10 minutes) • To set a context for the listening activity
Ss think of 3 words that are related to the pictures
While-Listening (20-25 minutes) • Give Ss practice in listening for gist and details
Ss match situations with the descriptions of situations , and phrases with definitions
Post-Listening (7-10 minutes) • Give Ss practice in speaking for fluency
Ss share personal experience in pairs in the context of personal goals and fears
