Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Explain to Ss how to play "Who Am I" Give an example: "I work at ITI. My favorite time of day is in the afternoon. My childhoods days were spent in South Africa. Who Am I?" Ss play "Who Am I". One S reads the "Who Am I" description of the characters from the listening story. The other students in the group guess who it is!

Exposure (6-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a listening script about daily routines.

Ss read the listening script and underline the questions. FB: Ss check answers in PW Ss recheck answers on the board.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Ss look at example sentences on the board (PP). WH QUESTIONS: (in table) Where does she shop on Mondays? What do they watch at the cinema? Give Ss a handout with 2 tables (4a;4b; also 6a sentences including Yes or No questions.) Complete the tables. Work in pairs. FB: PW to check the answers with those on the board (PP). 4B

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
