Procedure (18-25 minutes)
Ask students to share their travel experiences with a partner then report to the class. They can use these leading questions: Have you ever been abroad? Where have you been? What did you do there? Where did you stay? Ask ICQs.
Quickly ask the students to answer the question: what is couchsurfing? depending on their preparation. Also answer the T & F questions related to to the listening.
Divide the students to work in pairs. Share their plans for their perfect weekend. Then report to the class. They should say 4-6 sentences using future tense. Ask ICQs.
Write down any possible grammatical errors especially for plans in future tense. Project it on the camera projector and elicit corrections from the students. If they can not find the correction, the instructor will share it with them and ask CCQs.
Ask the students about the difference between given sentences. Stress the fact the present progressive can be used for ongoing actions and can also be used for future plans. Tell students that present progressive may have the same meaning of "be going to + base form verb". Ask students what "gonne" means. Ask them to transform "going to" to "gonna". Ask CCQs.
Ask students to work in pairs to plan for a trip in 3 cities in the same continent. They can plan up to 10 days. They can use the internet. Tell us where you are going to go & what are you going to do. Use “going to” and “gonna”. Ask ICQs Use peer correction when students make errors while presenting their trip plan.
