Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Teacher projects two pictures on the WB; one of them contains the three meals while the second one is for a well healthy fit man. Next, he/she asks some questions about the pictures and asks the students to think about them individually. Whatever the answers were he doesn't confirm any thought. Next, he asks students in pairs to discuss which meal has the biggest impact on our health and if you are to skip a meal which one would you skip?.
The teacher shows the students a worksheet which contains some key words form the text and their definitions and synonyms. He demonstrates the activity by matching the first word. Then he asks some instruction concept checking questions ICQs. The students work individually then they check their answers in pairs. After that, as a FB the teacher writs the answers on the WB.
the teacher divide the class into groups of 4s. Then teacher divides the passage into 4 sections marked a-d each in separate paper and designs a headline for each section marked 1-4. Then, students are given 3 minutes to match the 4 sections with their headlines. After that, in group of 4 students put the sections in the right order. Next, Students check their answers between groups.
Now the students are given 5 minutes to ,individually, read the text closely and answer the following comprehension questions. Then, they check with their partners. Next in group of 4 let each group answer one question on the WB.
The teacher gives students 5 minutes to individually write down all the sentences that contain ( if ) in the text. Then, he urges them to try find out if there is any pattern in these sentences. Next, He lets them discuss this issue in pairs. After that, he asks one pair to write their sentences on the WB. Then he gives a whole class FB and works with his students on dismissing all these sentences which do not belong to the pattern of First Conditional type. He hands out the sentences and ask students to work in pair and find out what the pattern is. Afterwards, he asks the fast finishers to write the pattern on the board and gives a whole class FB.
