Procedure (32-52 minutes)
Get to know the student and her goals.
1- a) PPT to elicit the new vocabulary: query and hesitate; b) CCQs if needed; c) Drill/Write; 2- a) Present a situation to elicit: regarding, sincerely; b) CCQs if needed; c) Drill/Write;
1- Briefly explanation of Simple Past and Present perfect; 2- Expose the differences and when to use; 3- Active and passive voice of Present perfect: My department has solved your issue/Your issue has been solved by my department.
1- PPT with the new words presented at the beginning of the class. 2- Sentences that could be used. (Handout)
1- Show the model of a business email. 2- Set the task. Instruct the student to produce a business email according to her job.
1- Read the student's production and make error correction on board. 2- Give her feedback. 3- Make time for possible questions.
