Projecting the VAs. Ask Ss to discuss on what they see. Ask which one we haven't got in Beşiktaş. Give the lexis. Drill.
By looking at the 3 pictures of the towns, T asks what Ss see on them. Ss make assumptions about the places before the main target reading. Clarify the difference between city, town and village by eliciting.
Ss are asked to make GW and jigsaw reading. T monitors. At the end of the reading, Ss are asked to mingle the groups and tell each other the stories in details.
Ss do the exercise 3 on CB with a competition game. Check the answers by assigning each group a name. Each group who tells the answers correctly and fast gets the points. T writes them on the WB.
Just before starting the listening exercise, T shows the Isle of Lewis, elicit the country and introduces Sheena shortly. Ask Ss to check the questions before the listening. Play the audio. One for the first exercise and another for the second. Project the answers on WB. Feedback if needed.
T elicits from Ss the right grammar form (by ferry or with ferry). Project few pictures guiding for the lexis. Drill. Project personal questions on a ferry journey from Istanbul to Bursa. Ss are expected to speak in PW in a limited time. The concept and lexis of the questions are related with the upcoming listening. T monitors and gives feedback.
Monitor Ss discreetly, take notes of their mistakes. Write them on the board for feedback.
