Procedure
Ss will look at the picture and talk about Harry Potter. Teacher will guide them. Then, Ss will be given their handout and work in pairs to decide on the verbs, active or passive. Teacher will elicit the answers and guide them to understand clearly.
Ss will be asked questions related to the text: 'Do we know who chose Daniel?' T will elicit answers from the students. T will write on board: 'Daniel was chosen to play Harry Potter when he was 11.' T will elicit the meaning of the structure by asking CCQs like: 'Do we know who chose him? Is it important?' Ss will give answers. Ss will be asked another question: 'How many films of Shakespeare's have been made.' T will elicit answers from the students . T will write on board: 'Avatar was directed by James Cameron' T will elicit the meaning of the structure by asking CCQs like: 'Do we know who directed Avatar? Is it important?' Ss will give answers.
Ss will have time to practise on their own and with a partner. They will also have time to ask their questions about the usage or the meaning of the sentences. Teacher will guide them and also ask another student to answer the questions. Pair work activity will be done in the second practice exercise. They will choose the correct answers to complete the text about movie winners and losers. Teacher will monitor them and if needed help them. Teacher will elicit the answers. Finally, teacher will ask Ss to write down about their favourite films using Passive Voice. Teacher will elicit the answers.
Teacher will guide Ss to correct their own mistakes. It's also good to ask to another student to help and explain it. Teacher will write more sentences on the board to clarify the mistaken point.
