to develop fluency on the topic through speaking,to intrigue them about different lifestyles
Procedure (22-29 minutes)
Show a picture of a wolf and ask them what today's lesson is.Then introduce the topic by asking Ss the following questions: How are wolves depicted in your country? Are there any myths or fairy tales about wolves in your country? Why do you think wolves have such a bad reputation? Ss answer expressing their own opinion.
Write the following questions on board: 1.Was it easy for him to intergrate?(yes as the wolves were a few days of age and he adapted to the way they live). 2.Does his wife share the same love for nature? (yes) 3.Is social position important to the wolves?(yes) 4.According to Shaun is our opinion correct about the wolves? No.The wolves aren't vicious creatures that will attack us by full moon).
Students watch the video and answer the questions .Play some parts again if needed.They can expand as much as they want.
Hand out photocopies.They answer the first exercise.They guess if the sentences are true or false.Provide them with the right answer.(This exercise can be omitted if time is not enough).
Students read a sentence each trying to predict what is missing. Q1.noun(Probablyplural since there is no article/determiner) Q2 noun:title of a job Q3 Adj:probably negative or disapproving Q4 noun:could be sth positive(eg admiration) Q5 noun:type of food Q6 noun:type of interaction Q7 adjective:referring to danger Q8 noun:some kind of animal or natural threat Q9 noun:change in attitude or lifestyle They listen to the text once and find the right answers.Play some parts if needed . Students check the correct answers with the taecher.
