Procedure (24-46 minutes)
After a very short GTK, I will ask them to imagine they are going to hire some employees for their company or workplace. They should think about the characteristics which are important for them and expect the employee to have. I will ask them to use the previous practice they did with the previous teacher and/or to look for it. First, they will think individually and then they will discuss their idea in their group/pairs.
The Ss will listen to audio which the boards are discussing the qualities of the candidates and make note. After each cnadidate, i will pause the audio and give them 1 minute to compare and discuss their notes in their groups. at the end they will receive the script of the audio to see which part they missed.
I will arrange the Ss into 4 groups. each group will choose one candidate. they should go through their notes they took during the listening and list the weakness and strengths they found about the candidate. they should summarize the candidate's weakness and strengths.
I will ask the students to look at the useful language in their book. they should use those languages to decide why they think the candidate will be hired or won't be hired. Then, I will give each group 1 minute to talk about their candidate and why they think s/he should got to the final stage.
Up to now Ss listened and discussed in their groups why the candidate should go to the final stage and why not. In this stage, they will listen to an audio explaining who has chosen and why. I will ask them to listen carefully and order the candidates as mentioned in the audio. In the end, I will give them the script to check if they did it right or not. in this stage, I will ask them if they have any question about any lexis that might be seemed difficult to them to understand.
