To provide fluency speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of daily Routine.
Procedure (27-45 minutes)
T ask Ss to tell some things they do every day, such as setting the alarm before going to bed, waking up at a certain time each morning, eating breakfast, and traveling to work or school. Write their answers on the white board. discussion about daily habits and Routine. Writes the elicited verbs on board which leads to the topic of the lesson.
Set Ss. in pairs ,and give clear instructions about the first activity: reading for gist. *My brother daily routine discus the activity and elicit the verbs draw their attention to TL (meaning /pronunciation/ form)
*Set Ss. in pairs and give clear instructions about read the text then underlined all the verbs. * Ss correct the underlined verbs in pairs. *Ss check the answers together & the whole class feedback *
T shows flash cards show the verbs which have different spelling rules in Present Simple such as study, wash, watch, go, do,teach, cry ,worry kiss, hurry and have. T demonstrates & models the first one for Ss Use some CCQ to clarify the meaning: Are the use for past? Are the use for present? can i say (he go to school ? or he goes to school?) can i say she watch TV? or she watches TV?) Drill the sentence with the Ss for Pronunciation.
• Pass out a HO, and ask SS to work in pairs to correct the verb forms . • Ss check together and after that whole class feedback by writing the answers on the whiteboard.
T set Ss in pairs ..T ask Ss to choose the right from (a-b-c)in the HO Ss. check the answer together and then the whole class feedback.
• Set Ss in pairs and ask them to speak about their daily habits Routines. • Ss report on each other.
