Procedure (54-60 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Ask about her week, tell her that I'm happy to be with her again this level. Then start by going through the vocab by asking her questions or to put the words for me in sentences.
Useful Language (6-9 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks
Discuss the grammar together by making her give me examples and let her solve some questions, aid her if there are any difficulties. Let her explain the idiom (go big or go home) and phrasal verb (pay off) to me in her own way and help her if there are any issues.
Productive Task(s) (40-40 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
Have an open discussion about future goals and let her solve a reading comprehension about future plans and goals.
Feedback and Error Correction (3-4 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
Let her recap everything we have done together and give her the future assignment.
