Procedure (34-45 minutes)
*T shows her own passport to students *T Asks students do you think my passport photo looks like me? *Elicit answers from Ss
*Divide Ss into pairs *ask them how many documents do you have which have your photos on them? *where was your passport or ID card photo take? *do you think the photo looks like you and do you like it? *Elicite answers from Students.
*Pre-teach the blocking vocab(1/research, 2/embarrassed, 3/proud, 4/hideous) with pictures. *Try to elicit the words from Ss *Model and drill chorally and individually. *Form *Ask CCQ's for each word. 1) do we make research to look for an information? YES B) do we make research to give an information? NO 2) is it a good feeling? NO B) do we always feel embarrassed or sometimes? SOMETIMES 3) is it a positive or a negative feeling? Positive B) do we feel proud when we do something wrong? NO 4) can we be hideous when we are good looking? NO B) is it a good or a bad thing? BAD
*ask Ss to read the first paragraph in pairs to answer the following questions: 1) why our passport photo is important? 2) which nationality are the least happy with their photo and which are the happiest? 3)which are the vainest? * Elicit answers from Ss. *ask Ss to read the whole article *ask Ss who is happy with their photo and who is not and why? *elicit answers from Ss.
*T asks Ss to match between the words that I already taught them with their meaning in the handout. *Elicit answers from Ss
