Procedure (19-25 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Greet students Check homework - pg. 28 Ask them some review questions in a conversational manner: Use handout Handout - Plurals Handout - Check yes/no
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation
Pg. 25 Part 3 - New vocabulary - Adverbs and days of the week. Handout - SCHEDULE handout Pg. 27 Part G - Write the definitions of the adverbs on the board with the Kurdish. Pair the Students and have them use the WHEN handout to have a conversation about routines.
Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
Pg. 30 - Have the students pair up with a different partner. Have them go through each conversation as A and then as B. Homework: Pg. 31 and 33
