Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

ss will mingle and ask each other 5 questions about pets.

Pre-Reading (10-15 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

the teacher will divide the class into 2 groups (agree - disagree) and ask them if the children should keep animals as pets?

While-Reading (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading tasks

the teacher will distribute a work each on each student and ask them to guess its meaning and match it with the correct answer.

drilling (10-20 minutes) • To make sure that the students pronounce the words in a correct way and understand its meaning.

the teacher will all the vocabulary words and the students will repeat after her. the teacher will divide the class in to two groups and ask them to write an example on each word.

Post-Reading (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

the teacher will show them the model from the book and ask them if their ideas appeared or not and if they agree or disagree with the argument.
