The teacher writes the question on the board; "What do you do on a night-out with your friends?" The students come up to the board and write their activities. Then, the students will look at the activities in exercise 1, pick the ones they do and discuss the questions in ex.2 by using the activities they've picked.
The teacher introduces some unknown vocabulary and have the students match the words with their definitions. Then, the students will look at the pictures and read the captions of the text and answer the questions in ex:3. Later, they will share their answers with their partners.
The teacher gives the handout to the students. There are five statements that the people say in the text. The students will read the text and write the first letter of their names next to the statements they say. Later, they check in pairs.
The students will read the text again and answer the questions in exercise 4b. They check in pairs. Then, they read the text again and try to guess the meaning of the words and phrases with their partners. The teacher projects the answers and students do a final check. The teacher projects the Kahoot game. Using their mobiles, the students will try to remember the meaning of the unknown vocabulary and the phrases they've learnt in the lesson.
The students choose one of the questions in ex. 6 and discuss their ideas in groups of three.
