Procedure (48-54 minutes)
T draws pictures on the board and asks the questions "what are they" and "where can they buy them".
T plays a record about Andrew and Dorien talking about shopping (audio 2.15) and ss answer 1b. T wants ss to check in pairs.
T wants Ss to talk about each other's shopping habits. T gives some Ss the pictures of parts of a shopping centre and gives some of them written form. Later, T wants Ss to stand up and find the match and have discussion what they can buy there. After discussion, Ss will sit with their new partners and do the exercise 3a, b in pairs and c to check (audio 2.16) Later, Ss talk in pairs about where they can buy boots, maps, money, etc.
T plays the record twice about Jon shopping (audio 2.17). Ss do the activity 2a about who asks questions and 2b match questions with the answers. T wants them to check in pairs.
T writes how much and how many on the board and wants ss to identify which expression they use about asking price of something and the number of things in pairs. Ss take turn to 2a to see the examples. Later, in exercises 5a, T plays audio 2.18 for ss to underline the stressed words in the questions.
T wants ss to take turns to be the shop assistant and the customer and have conversation in pairs.
