Procedure (29-42 minutes)
T goes in the class, introduces herself and asks Ss about their names and occupations. Then T writes "REGRET" to the whiteboard and asks the meaning of the word. If the class doesn't know the meaning T explains it through example. T then asks Ss what they say in Turkish for their regrets and elicit the word "keşke". With the word "keşke" T introduces Wish Clause.
T shows a picture of Alaaddin's Genie and asks Ss what would their wishes be. T writes Ss' sentences to the WB and presents them with the form: S + wish + S + would + V1 Then T corrects Ss senteces acorrding to the form. T then clarifies the meaning: anger, regret, eagerness, complaint. T introduces the second form of Wish Clause form: S + wish + S + past participle T explains the meaning: the wishes about the present and future. T asks Ss to form sentences and corrects them on the WB.
T highlights the form: I wish I were… T also clarifies the difference about positive and negative forms as wish and hope. T explains about "if only" If only S + past participle.
T gives HO1 and observes Ss to fill in the blanks. T helps if needed. Answers controled with whole class.

T introduces Nina Simon's I wish I knew how it would feel to be free. T hands out the lyrics and wants Ss to follow the lyrics. Then T wants Ss to work in pairs and translate the song to L1. At the end of the lesson T asks Ss to write a paragraph about their regrets or wishes for the next lesson as HW.
