Procedure (45-59 minutes)
Ask: Where did you go to school? Did you like it? Why/Why not? Discuss the topic briefly with the class.
Check the meaning of the subjects in the box ( use the photo bank if necessary). 2A) Ss complete the phrases and compare answers in pairs. 2B) Ask Ss: Which of these things did you do at school? Did you enjoy them?
3A) Give ss 3-4 mins to discuss the questions. In feedback ask ss opinion and reasons. 3B) Ss read the text and match paragraphs 1-3 with topics. Check new vocabulary from the text. 3C) Elicit ss ideas. Discuss. Ss should underline what they think is the best/worst idea.
Grammar 4) Ss do the exercise. Monitor. Draw the table on the board and invite ss to write the verbs in the correct places. Check meaning and form. Ask ccq for each sentence. Is it necessary/possible/allowed? 5A) Ss complete the text with can/must/have to. 5B) Ss listen to weak forms of have to.
6) Ss write down their ideas for the questions. Monitor. Ss compare their ideas. Invite ss to give their opinions to the class. Worksheet - School rules.
