  • By the end of the lesson students will have watched a video,discussed its content and and responded to it in writing.

Subsidiary Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students.

T wears a t-shirt of any given team and uses the ball as if he were a player .Tasks students about their favorite teams .Which ones do they support and how? The answer to the question how prepares for the video.

While-Watching/Listening (10-13 minutes) • To provide students with scenes of violence in the stadiums and the causes that leads to that.

After preparing students for the main idea of the video,students will watch the video and jot down as many cause for violence as they can.T makes his instructions clear and checks them before start watching .Ss can also add causes that are not mentioned in the video. Ss will do that task individually .

Post -watching/Listening #1(speaking) (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

after watching the video ,students will be given another instruction.They share what they have jotted down with their classmates.A debate about the causes behind violence.In this stage students do not need to write.they are going to practice speaking.T keeps monitoring only.

Post-watching/Listening#2(writing) (8-13 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

After the debate about the causes students will write some recommendations about how to avoid this phenomenon .Ss will be given an A2 sheet and write their own suggestions/solutions. Ss will display their writing on the back board and each group will read the suggested solutions of the other group.
