Procedure (64-90 minutes)
Show the video and ask to remember how many years I have been teaching and 3 facts about me. Then students have to tell 3 facts about themselves (in pairs), one of them should be untrue. They have to remember info about each other and tell it to the class. The class has to guess which is false.
Pick 2 things and tell about myself. Ss read A-F individually and write 1 thing (3 min). Ss discuss them in pairs (3 min). OC nominating (2 min)
Elicit the meaning from the Ss. Nasty, fall out, pond, coincidence.
Ss listen and match speakers with the items. Ss check in pairs. OC - write answers on the board with 2 wrong answers.
Ss listen and say what exactly was said about the items from the box. Check in pairs. OC.
Ss listen and fill in the gaps. Check in pairs. OC.
Ss match the tenses with their forms in pairs. OC. Ss match the use of tenses with the tenses in pairs. OC.
Monitor the pair work. Ask to circle the rules that are unclear. Clarify the difficult parts.
