  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a Concersation in the context of Animals

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage the student

T will introduce himself and ask the S about her name. T will tell the students things about him and ask the S to do the same as a way as part of self-introduction and rapport building. T will ask the S if they can become friends. T will ask the S if she likes animals.

Eliciting/Exposure (2-4 minutes) • To elicit the vocabulary the S knows and provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through conversing

T will show the S pictures of some animals and ask her if she knows any of them in English. T will introduce the vocabulary to the S.

Useful Language (2-3 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T will de some drilling of the new vocabulary introduced to the S.

Productive Task(s) (5-9 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T will ask the S questions in order to get her talking and practising her speaking in a conversation. T will give the S a spelling exercise to do in order to introduce her to the form of the new vocabulary.

Feedback and Error Correction (2-3 minutes) • To provide feedback on student' production and use of language

T after taking notes of all the grammatical mistakes made by S, will provide feedback and modelling of the language to correct the errors.
