  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a sharing and comparing in the context of Abilities

Procedure

Lead in (5-7 minutes) • Greet the Ss, make them feel welcome, activate knowledge from previous lesson

So what did you learn about Stephen and Daniel, which one was the human computer? Do you think they are smarter than Einstein, smarter than Stephen Hawkings, smarter than Rain-man? What other kinds of jobs do you think they would be good at? Gambling? Spyİng?

Pre-teach Language Meaning (8-10 minutes) • Give SS practice wıth present and past abilities in positıve and negative sentences

Using HO p.84, Ss Label sentences D or S depending on who it is about next, Ss decıde if sentences are about present or past ability, and positive or negative peer check WGFB

Focus on Form and pronunciation (8-10 minutes) • To get ss famılıar with grammar forms for speaking about ability
