The teacher greets the students and tries to remember their names. She introduces the noun "First Lady" to establish a smooth transition to pre- listening tasks. Semi- controlled practice. (ex. 4) Students are asked to think of a person's life; themselves, famous people, family, friends etc. They are asked to talk about the life of that person using the ideas in the book. They prepare for the activity in pairs.
