Procedure (35-45 minutes)
I’ll show a picture of restaurant on the board. I’ll ask my students to work in pairs and share their information about restaurants. I’ll ask my students About restaurants.
I’ll give my learners the sheets of the lesson and ask them to look at people in pictures a and b on page 72. I will ask them to discuss in pairs these two pictures . I will give a feedback. Tell students to listen to find the person who is making the request in each picture. Check the instructions-monitoring- Pair check O/C Feedback (show answers on the board)
I’ll divide the class into two groups and ask them to put some phrases previously prepared on slips under three main categories (requests, accept and refuse) Stick the titles for the categories and the slips on the classroom walls using blue tack. Ask each group to check the work of the other group. 1-Could I have the bill, please? Could+ I +inf+...................,please? 2-Do you mind if I borrow your mobile? Do+sub+mind+if +sub +inf...................? Would you mind watching the children? Would +sub+mind+v(ing)...............? I will show them the intonation.
I will make ss work in pairs to rewrite the dialogue to make them polite .Then act out the dialogue. Ex 1 page 73
