Procedure (25-41 minutes)
Lead-in (10-15 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
I will show them a slideshow about my family and friends in order to get their attention. In this way, I will be able to introduce myself as well.
Exposure (4-6 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through watching, listening and singing
The students will watch a video called "I see something blue" in which they will be able to see many colours. The students will watch the video twice.
Productive Task(s) (6-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
As we watch the video for the second time, I will pause the video and ask students to find an object with that specific colour that is shown on the video. By this way, the students will be even more engaged and active.
Practice target language (5-10 minutes) • To practice the colours
To practice the colours by colouring a handout (a clown) with the given instructions
