To provide practice of present simple 3 in the context of free time activity
Procedure (35-52 minutes)
I will make a short review of frequency adverbs and just show a part of the sentence to the Ss. Then I will ask them to build sentences.
I will introduce phrases dealing with fee time activities and will let three Ss play do an exercise in front of the class.
ı will show the picture to the class and will ask them questions about Paul and others and will try to practice present simple 3. Then I will give an example of ex.2 b) to the Ss. The Ss will read the rest of the sentences on their own before listening to the recording R4.1. During the listening they have to circle the correct one.
This e Ss have to work in pairs and have to ask questions what Paul is doing in his free time. Each student will have to choose four activities from the pictures that I will leave for this part of the lesson on board. Then I will play the recording and the Ss will listen and check if their guesses are correct or not.
Before the Ss listen to the recording again I will the first sentence on board and will show the Ss the linking between consonant sounds and vowel sounds.
I will play the recording again and the Ss have to work in pairs and have to find four examples of consonant-vowel linking in Vicky's part of the conversation.
I will write some positive and negative example sentences on board an will explain briefly the grammatical stucture of present simple positive and negative (he/she/it)
If there is time ı will give the students some exercises about free time activity, present simple positive or/and negative (he/she/it).
