Procedure (28-45 minutes)
photos about amazing festivals around the world will be presented on W.B. and Sts will discuss the following questions about the photos. Which tradition are you already familiar with? Which one would you like to know about more? Why? Why do people think it’s important to keep traditions alive? Do you think it’s important to learn about the customs and traditions of other cultures? Explain your reason.
Student will watch rest of the lead-in video and before that teacher gives them hint to take note about the following (alone) 1. Name 2. Where 3. When 4. How long 5. How
students will answer questions about the videos which they took notes What is name of festival? Where is it celebrated? When is it celebrated? How long is festival? How is it celebrated? Which festival would you like to attend?
Students will watch the title of rest of the lead-in video to guess what will happen next
teacher will give the students a task of six sentences where students will correct the errors in the adjective clause in the sentence and have to explain each correction. after two minutes teacher project the task on the WB and ask the students to write their answers and explain.
students will have to complete the adjective clause using cue. they need to know that they can omit relative pronouns where possible. after 3 minutes teacher projects the task and asks the students to write their answers on the board to check the answers by peers.
students will match vocabulary to the celebrations and then make (write then check with partners) sentences by the vocabulary. " Everyone wears costumes on……..."
teacher gives the students a list of questions about celebrations to work in pairs or groups of threes. after 5 minutes one students from each group will come to the front of the class and to be interviewed by other students. @ change of partners
