To provide gist and specific information listening practice using a text about free time activities in the context of conversation between two colleagues
Subsidiary Aims

To provide clarification, review and practice of free time activities
Procedure (27-45 minutes)
After talking about the meaning of free time,the teacher will start showing the leisure time photos,the word for the photo will be elicited,correct form will be repeated,a yes/no question will be asked and students will be guided to answer with short answers.The answers could be negative or positive.Also if time allows students will be asked to do some chain drill to excel the use of vocabulary.
Proceeding the instructions to the task,the hand-outs for matching activity will be distributed .After the activity whole class feed back will be provided.
Students will be given some time to do pair work and talk about their favorite activities.Then their favorite activities will be elicited from their partners.
Some questions will be asked to make sure there are no words to block the students way to get the gist of the listening.Some of the questions can be: -Where are Tanya and Robert? -Are they friends? -Are they colleagues?...
Track 3.4 will be played and students will be asked to fill the gaps.On-board feed back will be provided after the listening activity.The listening will be played again and students attention will be drawn to the way "do you" is pronounced in English.
Having read the sentences,and after giving the instructions on the activity, track 3.5 will be played and it will be followed with on-board feed back to the students.then the listening will be played for the second time and whole class feed back will be provided to the exercise.
