Trying to relate the topic to the first lesson of the day, students will be asked about their regrets. -Then they will go around the class in pairs, reading about some of the biggest regrets of people's lives discussing which one has happened to them or any other regrets that they have. - They will get in pairs, and talk about each other's regrets.
Ss discussed their regrets at the previous stage -Now they will be asked to report on their partner's regrets and how different their lives would be. -The form will be elicited from their feedbacks -Ss will be asked to give other solutions for the regrets
-The form will go on the board, using the sentences of the Ss -The punctuation will be taught -Ss will drill the form in a back chain method -CCQs will clarify the meaning and difference -The inverted form will be taught and drilled too
Ss will get HO1, which are sentences with if clause -They will be asked to write the result clause without writing their names -Then they will put the HOs in a box in the middle of the class -Then they will be asked to pick one paper and try to find who wrote it by using the question form. -The teacher will model one sentence and demonstrate how it's done -When they find who wrote the sentence they will write the name -For the feedback stage, Ss will be asked to read the sentences but in the inverted form
Ss are going to get into groups of 3 and each group will get a paper with the prompt sentence (HO2) -They will continue that sentence with third conditional and the next sentence and so on. -To clarify the instruction an example will be shown using the OHP (slide1) -When they are done the papers will go on the wall and Ss will check each other's work.
