Procedure (42-51 minutes)
Pair students. Show students a A/B picture for comparison. Elicit comparisons. Elicit "He/she is(n't) + ing." Show picture on the screen and take FB.
Pair students. Continue with the picture from lead in but with the provided examples of comparisons using the [+] and [-]. Take FB, write some on the board. Change partners. Matching exercise. Show ss that they must match the papers onto the board with the given activity. Give one partner the adhesive and one partner the text samples. Group FB. Write the v+ing on the side of the board after checking answers in FB. CCQ some actions if needed.

Show a picture of Nigel from Nigel at work on the board. Ask student who is in the picture and what they are doing. Write the verbs on the side of the board as verbs are elicited so that ss won't have spelling problems during the listening. Listen first time and students answer T/F questions from the board. Take FB as a class for answers. For second task, bring attention to second activity how them they will fill in the gaps. Have them peer check. Show answer/slide on the board
ss do semi-controlled practice about making questions regarding Nigel and his family. Show the correct questions. Then ss ask each other the questions and answer. Take some group feedback for answers. Second practice. Pair ss in new pairs if not done so already. Show pictures of beaches or mountain resorts. Ask and demonstrate to ss to write 3 questions to ask partners about what they are or aren't doing. Have them answer in pairs. If time allows, let two of them come up and demonstrate.
