  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of Model city

Procedure

lead in (2-4 minutes) • to generate interest in the context of the text

1-I will project some pictures about some places and I will ask them to say whether they this in their city or not.but first I will let them t discuss and then I will ask them the question

Reading task (3-5 minutes) • to scan the text and introduce the target language via text

1-I will ask them to read in pairs and underline the words about places in Susan's text and then I will ask questions about the text.ex: is there a theatre in bath? after answering some questions and giving feedback we will go to the next stage

Highlighting target language (3-5 minutes) • to highlight the target language by use of a guiding task

1-I'm going to give them the first handout and they are going to match the pictures with the sentences and then for giving feedback, I will ask three of them to come and match the pictures and sentences on the board.

clarifying target language (10-15 minutes) • To clarify the meaning and practice the pronunciation and form of the target language

1-I'm going to write some model sentences on the board and ask some CCQs about them.then they will answer them 2- I'm going to give them models and project the picture of there is/are with the pronunciation and then we are going to repeat them by listening to the cd and then have drilling. 3-I'm going to write the form on the board and give some examples and use the sentences in the lesson to explain it more.I will give them practice 2 and they can practice more on the form

language practice (10-15 minutes) • To provide less controlled or controlled or freer practice of target language

1-I will give them hand out three and then they will discuss the answers with the partners and for giving feedback I will ask them to give me the answers and I will check the answers with the whole class 2- I will give them handout 4 and they are going to do the task in pairs. after that, I will ask them to give me the answers and I will check with them. 3-students are going to write some sentences about a town or city, not their own city and then in 3-4 groups, they are going to talk about their ideas and then for giving feedback I will ask 2 groups to give me sentences
