To provide gist, specific information and detailed listening practice using a text about sleep walking in the context of sleep
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of sleep
Procedure (38-45 minutes)
A short animation of will start the lesson and set the sub-context of sleep walking following the main context of sleep. Ss are going see a couple of questions beforehand : What is happening in the video? what is Jerry's problem?
Ss are going to look at a picture of the listening. And will be asked: -Is he awake? -What is he doing? -Is he cooking? -Does he know that he is cooking?
Slide 3 will set the gist questions: - What kind of things does he cook? - Why is it a problem? Ss will listen once and answer the question quickly and a WCFB will wrap up this stage.
Ss will get HO1 first and they will try to fill in the blanks in pairs. Then they will listen again and check their answers in the same pairs. In the feedback stage the answers will be showed using slide 4.
Ss will get HO2 and in pairs they will try to guess whether the sentences are true or false. Then They will listen to Audio 3.48 to check their answers. When they are finished, the answers will be given to one of the Ss for the feedback so that they can get the correct answers.
Ss first will get HO3 which has 5 words that they might not know them, they will match the words with the pictures. And then they will pass their papers to the other groups for the feedback. Then they will be re grouped to have a discussion using 2 sets of questions ( red and blue)
