To provide a grammar lesson with clarification and practice of adverbs of time in the context of describing someone's routine in the 3rd person
Subsidiary Aims

To provide clarification of never, sometimes, always in the context of routines
Procedure (40-53 minutes)
Greet Ss. Show ss a picture of Elliot. "This is Elliot" "What's his name?","What's his job?" Ellicit questions about his job, gender, etc.
Show pics of his routine 1-by-1. Elicit model and drill focusing on "He ___-s + noun" until ss are comfortable. Ask ss, "when does he get up?" elicit a time. "He gets up at___. " Go through every picture once. Put pictures on the walls. Ss in pairs. Give Ss time post-its to add their times. Show answers on ppt. Give students H/O 1 for gap fill.
Show on ppt or on board: Highlight statement conjugations I/you/we/they vs He/She/It +______-s/-es. Highlight questions of time: "What time does he __verb_____" and "When does he _____?" Highlight Yes/No questions: Do he leaves home at 7:15? (incorrect) Does he leave home at 7:15? (correct)
Group Ss in new groups of 2. Demonstrate to find the gaps from the text. Ss work in pairs to fill gaps. Take FB for answers. Fill in cline. Check adverbs of time with CCQ's. "I always get up?" Model sounds. Sound gap fill
H/O 3. Group Ss in pair. Gap fill. Display answers.
Continue H/O 3. Ss use prompted words to make questions and answers to ask and answer each other vocally. Demonstrate if needed. Take FB Display answers if needed.
Show students last activity, describe your brother for example. Encourage the use of adverbs of frequency. Ss complete individually. Monitor. Take FB with sharing.
