Description
In this lesson students talk about islands through guided activities and the target grammar topic is "If Conditionals Types 1-2". The lesson starts with a discussion about islands. Topic vocabulary will be introduced through class discussion. If Clause Type 1 will be used here. This is followed by a pair work activity about their pre-knowledge and sharing information. Finally they will decide on the island they would like to visit and share their preference with their partners, then with class using "If Conditional Type 2".

Procedure (32-40 minutes)

Students share their pre-knowledge about different islands in pairs. Then they share the information with the class. They receive more information about the islands they will choose from . They choose one island and share their preferences using the structure; If I were on holiday now/If I had the chance now / If I had the time now, I would visit ..... because.........
Feedback and Error Correction (3-5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
Revise the use of If Conditionals referring to students' common mistakes
